VTuber Lore Writer

A VTuber's design can tell people what a character looks like, while their story can give people a reason to care more about who they are.

I write lore, character backstories, worldbuilding, and narrative material for VTubers and virtual creators. Whether you're preparing a new debut or looking to develop a character who is already established.

My approach comes from a background in fiction writing, with published short stories, competition-winning fiction, and completed novels.

Lore writing for VTubers who are already active but want their character and world developed further throught VTuber backstory.

I can expand on details already established through streams, or build new material around an existing concept while keeping the character consistent with what the audience already knows.

A VTuber’s backstory becomes more interesting when there is a world behind them. I can develop settings, histories, factions, cultures, mythology, and other details that give your VTuber's story somewhere to exist.

Stories & Lore Drops

Original fiction written around your VTuber character or the world they inhabit.

These can work as standalone stories, lore reveals to be narrated by the VTuber, milestone pieces, channel trailers, promotional material, or as a foundation for webtoons, graphic novels, or visual novels.

Debut Writing

A complete VTuber lore package written for a debut. This can cover their origin story, personality, world, character background, and details that establish who they are from debut.

Character Development

A strong VTuber character is a combination of design, traits, and personality. I can help develop personality, motivations, relationships, contradictions, history, and other details that make a character feel coherent, distinct, and larger than what you see on screen.

Gigi Murin - Lore Bundle

This is a speculative VTuber lore project exploring Gigi Murin's character, background, and fictional world. The project develops the existing character concept into a narrative that expands on who Gigi is without standing in the way of future development, by combining character writing, worldbuilding and short-form fiction.

Copywriting & Summaries

Copywriting is the text you find on websites and in bios, the short snippets that describe a character or person so that anyone, new or old, can get a quick glimpse of who they are. It's something I really enjoy writing. It’s a good way to give viewers a brief insight into a VTuber’s backstory, lore, and character development.

Every character and project is different, so the prices below are starting points rather than fixed packages. The final quote depends on what you'd like me to write, how much development is involved, and what you need the finished work to do.

Turnaround and revisions

Turnaround depends on the type and scope of the project. As a general guide, smaller commissions take around 3–10 business days, while larger lore packages and narrative projects may take 2–4 weeks or longer.

I'll confirm an estimated delivery date when we discuss your project. The timeline begins once we've agreed on the scope, I've received the necessary materials and the initial payment has been made, where applicable.

Every commission includes one round of revisions: one consolidated list of reasonable changes to the agreed piece. Substantial changes to the original brief or a new creative direction may require additional time and a revised quote.

Payment and project scope

Each project is quoted according to its scope and intended use. Payment terms, deliverables, usage rights, and any confidentiality requirements are agreed upon before work begins. For larger projects, payment can be split into stages.

    If you already have an established character, I can work with what you've created and develop their background, personality, relationships, and world further.

    If you're starting from scratch, we can develop the concept together. You don't need to have every detail figured out before getting in touch. Sometimes all you need is an idea, a design, or a general feeling for who you want your character to be.

  • That depends on the project. If you have character notes, existing lore, a reference sheet, or ideas about where you'd like the story to go, those are all useful starting points.

    If your character is already active, links to your streams, videos, or social media can help me understand how you portray them and what your audience already knows.

    You don't need to prepare a complete document before contacting me, though. Tell me what you have in mind, what you'd like to achieve, and anything you already know you want included. We can work out the rest together.

  • Every commission includes one round of revisions. After receiving the draft you can send me a consolidated list of reasonable changes to the agreed piece. This is intended to help refine the work, clarify details, or adjust elements that aren't quite working yet.

    If you'd like to change the original brief substantially or take the project in a new direction, we can discuss what's needed and agree on any additional costs before proceeding.

    I'll also let you know what to expect in terms of delivery and communication before we get started. I'd rather establish those expectations beforehand than leave you guessing about how the project is progressing.

  • Payment terms are agreed before work begins. Smaller commissions may require full payment upfront, while larger projects can usually be split into an initial deposit and a final payment. For more substantial projects we can discuss a payment schedule that fits the scope of the work.
